                              ACOUSTIC MUSIC NIGHT

In the fall of 2003, we saw the need for an ACOUSTIC MUSIC forum in the Wichita area, so we began our once a month acoustic music jam.  Dedicating this monthly event to the memory of JUST JAKE (Jerry Nicholson)  and all of his wonderful music.  This open music forum is held on the second Saturday of every month. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a total sensory evening in the country, under the stars, by the campfire, listening to wonderful acoustic music, or perhaps your idea of heaven is to be playing the music and not just listening.  At Grandma’s Farm, we have the very best of both pickers and grinnersThe music starts about DARK-THIRTY and runs until the cows come home, so be sure to bring your instruments and some snacks to share.

See YOU around the campfire.

Grandma’s Farm asks for a $5.00 donation.  This is to help the farm grow. More activities will be developed through your support.

GRANDMA'S GROUP

GRANDMA’ S GROUP is a gathering of like-minded people who come together bi-monthly to teach, share, and discuss experiences with one another to create a Spiritual family. We have created a unique forum where everyone in the group has the opportunity to sign up to be a presenter sharing any Spiritual topic they know about or selecting a topic for the group to discuss.  This insures that we all are students and teachers.  We also have a sign up sheet for group members who would like to bring snacks. The farm supplies drinks.

GRANDMA’S GROUP meets every other Wednesday night at 7:00 PM until around 10:00 PM. Click HERE to see the current dates and topics.

CURRENT REMODELING PROJECT
The CLUB HOUSE

Since the beginning of Grandma’s Farm in 2002, we have used the tractor barn for many of the activities held at the farm. The tractor barn was built in 1945; and, for over 55 years, it was used to store the farm’s tractors and as the place where the watermelons and cantaloupes were sold.   Although the rustic environment has been functional for the activities so far, we realize that in order for Grandma’s Farm to expand and offer more classes and events, we must have a multi functioning building complete with modern facilities.

We have begun remodeling the tractor barn into the CLUB HOUSE at Grandma’s Farm. Along with the transformation from a barn into a building, we are including an addition that will house a restroom and the MERCANTILE, the farm’s retail shop.

With the completion of the Club House, we will have the awareness-raising example of the building itself as well as a large open classroom for all the farms events and the NATURAL LIVING INSTITUTE’S educational activities.

To accommodate the varied classes and activities, there will be a complete kitchen and stage area with all the equipment and sound system necessary for a multimedia presentation, concert, or an evening of relaxation.

When the farm is not using the Club House, it will be available for rent by individuals and groups.

This project is taking some time to complete.  Click HERE to find out how you can help with this and all of the other projects that Grandma’s Farm will be working on in the future. . .
