In October 2001, Cindy inherited the 65-year-old family farm. By focusing upon the pristine environment along with all the possibilities offered for personal growth and interaction with nature, Cindy, her husband Gary and their two daughters Jennifer and Katie, made the commitment to use the 100 acres as a natural sanctuary for both humans and animals alike. Believing that one of the most important issues for humanity at this time is our loss of connectedness with each other and nature, they have opened the farm to the public calling it “Grandma's Farm.” It is their intention to continue developing and organizing classes and events that focus upon personal growth, good health, and a greater appreciation for Earth. Prior to inheriting the family farm in 2001, Cindy and Gary successfully ran a jewelry business out of their home for 17 years. They traveled all over the country exhibiting at fine art fairs, winning several design awards. They quickly spread “Manifestations” Jewelry Art as far away as Australia, Japan, and England. Self-employment taught them the skills to manage a multifaceted business and how to interact with a variety of people. For years, Cindy was able to set up and host various speakers from across the U.S. to come into Wichita and present valuable and informative workshops. These workshops covered topics such as Native American philosophies, the Ishaya Monks with their unique style of meditation, ancient Egyptian Mystery School teachings known as the Flower of Life, and an intriguing slide presentation from England about the Crop Circles. Hosting these workshops, Cindy and Gary were able to develop a higher level of organizational skills. Working with each presenter, they were able to meet there personal as well as professional needs, along with promoting the workshops to the public. Years later, Cindy is still having attendees from these workshops come to her and tell her how the information they received is still powerful for them in their lives. It is with years of creativity, extensive traveling across the country, and working with people that Cindy and Gary will now be developing Grandma's Farm and all that it is to become……. for each of us. Thank you for your interest in Grandma’s Farm. We invite you to become a member of Grandma’s ever growing family tree. |
